One of the negative wires has been pulled off..

That wires come off the metal slit thing that is currently placed on the prong in that picture. How can I fix this?

That piece on the speaker terminal is made to pull off, then take that connector to a hardware store and buy some new ones, keeping in mind the wire size (why I said take the old one with you).

They crimp on, and look like this.......

Yes, strip wire, insert, and crimp. If the wire is thin compared to the opening, I will strip more and fold the copper strands back on themselves to thicken them in the connector. a crimp tool is usually built into the wire strippers.

Going by the picture, the wire wasn't pulled off, the spade connector was broken in half, usually from repeated bending of the metal until it fatigues to the point of failure. I only mention this because it seems you dont realize the spade terminal is removable (quick disconnect), but I see no other reason why the terminal would fatigue and break in half than from you handling often. I suppose its possible vibration cause the break, you might want to consider securing the wires to the speaker via wire ties or a similar method.

I didnt even put the speakers in my car when they broke. I was connecting those wires first then it broke.

Doesnt matter since I bought some of those disconnects to fix it. Much better than how they came.

thats funny something similar happend to me when my right sub wasnt hitting the lows anymore... took it apart and where the spider wire connected to the terminal the terminal had wiggled loose. so i took it off and soldered it to a new terminal and re installed it.

sometimes things happen. but what happend to you sounds like you took them off the stock speakers wrong. making the metal week and when you tried to push it on the new speaker terminal it snaped. comon disaster but easy fix. if i were you i would strip and solder. that way this wont happend again for you!
