Much louder if the box is built correct... Id try and get him to at least 200 with box...nice hso how much better will this be than my current 12 inch kicker cvr and 500 watt kenwood amp?
For the price thou its not bad cuz if he isnt comfortable building itll cost him almost that to get a new one built...Im not a fan of that box design. Typical mistake, the port mouth is located asymmetrically from the two drivers, creating a different load on each speaker. Like I said, very common mistake that I see even experienced box builders make.
My comments didnt refer to price, merely to the poor design. thats what you get for not testing used equipment and or not having the knowledge to know how to test it properly. Takes 10secs to put a dmm up to a sub and test the coils.my friend spent 700 on 3 15s and 3 amps and the subs were blown and only one of the amps worked.
