I want to know what the resonant frequency of my truck is. I knew where ti peaked with my old system but thats it. My truck is a 1989 F-150 Standard cab.
i dunno probably with a freq test cd and a termlab. maybe free-air the sub when doing this?? or maybe listen for the most rattles during a sine sweep if you can't find a t-l:laugh:
You'll need a termlab so you can use it's RTA, and a CD/MP3 with a slow sweep + individual tracks with sub frequencies.
You run a slow sweep and the RTA will show where you got your highest score. Burp the frequencies in that area until you find which one is loudest with a straight tone.
Some vehicles have multiple peaks. They can all be found, but one is usually louder than the others.
I am thinking of buying a Term lab, but my peak frequency with my E8's in the truck was 49. Does that mean anything or was that just for that set-up. Ive done major interior alterations since then.
