As for having a sub forum for technical stickies, there are some subjects that I have long wanted to contribute my EE experience to, but spending a bunch of time writing up detailed knowledge would **** only to have it drift into obscurity . I think the fellow who mentioned enclosure designs earlier here probably has the same concerns.

The old timers here will remember the myth from years ago where people said that having too low power can damage your sub. That could be a sticky. And the nonsense surrounding fancy RCA cables that's perpetuated by cable manufacturers. And my favorite BS subject of what a balanced line is and how they apply to car audio. People who should actually know better have no clue about that. I'd love to write a definitive reference if it could reach the masses somehow and not disappear with time.

Just throwing that out there...

I have to wonder if some of those facts might hurt rather than help.
Who pays the advertising dollars? Plenty of snake oil salesmen do.
Showing that their $600 cable made with $15 in parts might discourage adverts.

Heck there's some guy out there trying to sue people who don't give his mediocre audio product good reviews...

Yes, lets get this stuff stickied. OTOH, what makes DIYMA work? What makes DIYMA #1 in google searches? Is 10 page threads about the superiority (or not) of balanced twisted pair RCAs???

On a certain level is what is killing traffic that the core members (intentionally or not) restrict traffic by not getting into 12 page discussions about the superiority of balanced twisted pair RCA cables?

That's a good point. We may be biting the hand that feeds us. But accepting BS as truth does the car audio community a disservice.

Then again, there's a chat group out there that is nothing but pure BS, and people eat it up like candy. The stock is making people money though, as the movers/manipulators push it up and down over and over.

Google actually leans towards paid advertisers... say it isn't so...

No epic reveal here... just that its more powerful than ever and powered by AI now, as if it wasn't already... lol

I can't shop for a jockstrap for my teen without being bombarded by ads and suggestions for a month.

Its predictable and maddening, I try to find items locally before going online and try to pay cash when I find them or my purchase will show up in my online searches as well.

Fukin' Matrix.

As to the question...

How can CarAudio.com be better?

I was an avid user up till about 10yr ago as were others, now its all FB groups concerning car audio that are popular.

CarAudio.com has great content, but the user experience could be significantly improved. A modern, intuitive design, faster loading times, and easier navigation would make finding products, guides, and discussions much smoother. Optimizing mobile responsiveness would also enhance usability for the growing number of users browsing on phones and tablets. Overall, maintaining the quality content while streamlining the interface would make the site truly outstanding.
