Someone who is active on the forum can make a good mod. I don't understand why you have to know a great deal about the subject. All a mod does is basically police the forum and keep it going smooth. I don't see why that would take so much audio knowledge.

I do agree that someone who is active on the forum large amounts of time makes a good mod, to a point. It does help when they know what they are talking about as it would help to make decisions pertaining to threads and to throw in information and help them decide if someone is flaming or being helpful. Although you would make a good OT mod as you live there.

Having been a mod on a fitness forum my personal belief is you should have sufficient knowledge in the area specific to the forum. I do not know enough about car audio to effectively be a mod here except the OT section and I wouldnt want that. (see MikeofTulsa)
