I have currently a distribution block with only 60 amp fuse in it between my battery and amps.

now i know thats too little so what size do you recommend for a dd m2a and infinity kappa 4

also whats the point of fuse in distro box? I cant fit a 250 amp fuse in it right? I would need to get those inline fuses correct?

thanks

Fuses are there for the protection of wires, to avoid a fire. They are not there for the amp. So, depending on what wire you have, will decide what fuse you run inline. If it's ofc 1/0, get a 300a fuse. If it's CCA 1/0, get a 250a fuse. If it's 4 gauge OFC, get a 150a fuse. If it's 4 gauge CCA, get a 100a fuse.

The fuses in the distribution block are there for the wires after the distribution block. Follow the same rule of thumb for that. If you're running any 8 gauge, usually good for around 60-70a.

thanks that was easy to understand, now I have 4 gauge running to my sub amp and 8 gauge running to my 4 channel. Both running off the distro and only one 60 amp fuse. so should i go with100 amp fuse , im not sure if its ofc or cca..
