How big of a cap should my buddy use in his car?

They are useful for one thing...last year in physics we would take apart old electronics and take out the small capcitors inside. Get a thick rubber glove and hold it far away from you face. I cant remeber exactly but we either touched the (+) and (-) or if I rmeber correctly touched them to (+) and (-) leads coming out of the wall socket. Big Bang with plenty of smoke quite amusing

Get the big shinny one. The one with cool lettering and bright flashing lights and a little bitty fart cannon coming off the ground connection.

J/P A cap is a band-aid for a weak electrical system. A cap does not spontaneously create power. It has to get it from.......(drum roll)...Your electrical system. Do the big 3. It will work just as well.

just get a nice sized idaho potato and stick two paper clips in the top... works just as well if not better than a walmart cap, and cheaper, plus it has that "custom fabricated" look that the ladies go for
