18" BTL 2300rms speaker cable?

Quick question for ya...

I have some good looking 8ga. power cable and I was wondering if I could use that for my speaker cable from the amp to the sub.

Is there any difference between standard power cable and speaker wire?

If I do use this 8ga. power cable should I twist the +/- together going back to the amp?
