I've got this ma1889i on these re se 12's right now, wired to 4ohm. I know this amp's 2ohm stable, but dunno about one.

So how bad of an idea would it be to wire it down to 1ohm on these speakers (prolly going to be using it for another week or so, and then I'm getting a better amp). Whats the worst that can happen, besides blowing the amp?

in otherwords just do it.
Lmao, I know, I was messing around installing the new HU tonight and was like, wtf, I wanna hear em some moar!

So I cranked the gains up instead //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif;)

if anything it will overheat and go into protect.....possibly burn something up inside of the amp depending how conservative the protect mode is and how hard your pushing it

My guess is that after imp rise, you wont be at 1 ohm...so it might just work. Other than that, it'll cause the amp to go into protect, or kill it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
