How are RE 8" subwoofers?

They really dont handle the rms very well..At least the new ones. For that price, Id look at those Lanzar Max Pro 8in.Those are some little brick housed type subs/.IMO, 4 of those in your truck, and yes sir will sound pretty good, and wont break the wallet.

Isn't the RMS on the 8" RE only 75? it can't take that? looked like a beefy bastard and I'll check out the Max Pro I was thinking more like 8 or 10 8" in my truck //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I saw a build similar hitting a 154 and I thought why not give it a try. Going to run them off my DC 1.2K @ .5 ohm hoping to get close to 2k on them all.

Twice the woofer, twice the price. I'm not saying the RE 8's aren't worth $35...but that's about all they're worth.

I'm just saying cause I saw a build with 18 RE 8's doing a 154... So yeah those Lanzars look better for the price though and I've heard a lot of good things. Not trying to spend more than $50 on each 8" keeping my budget about $500 on 10 of these... Probably going to do 10 8" Lanzar Max Pro's in the truck off 2k sounds like a plan, hopefully they can handle about 200rms each //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

if you can get them cheap. 10-20 in a 4th order in a truck................WOW
My thoughts exactly I would love to run 10 SA-8's or Level 2 8's but just too expensive $500 is my MAX budget and I want at least 10 so I have enough cone area to do what I want with it. I feel 5 SA-8's wouldn't move as much air as I want looking for a 150 and to do some hair tricks and wow people with my awesome 8's lol.

Yeah I can see myself eventually adding more if I like it I was thinking of doing a 4th order wall. I would like an 8" that could take more power like an SA-8 or DC Level 2 8" but they are just way too expensive for an 8" imo.
dc is just junk anyway from my standpoint on them. the new sa 8s might be too pricey that they're worth but think about it.. a 1300rms 8.....

but for cheap. seriously get some of these

I consider DC better than Sundown to be honest price/performance wise I think my level 3's sound better than SA-15's and they take as much power and I paid a lot less plus they're more efficient in smaller boxes... but yeah I already decided on the Max Pro 8" I hear they dig down deep and take power well.

Running at half ohm on a 90 amp alt????? Smh
Done it many times with both an OptiDrive 2000.1D and a AP1500.1D both inefficient amplifiers don't be a noob... Also if you learned how to read you'd see I'm running them in my TRUCK not SUV which has a 150a alternator and 2 Yellow Tops. I guess my previous thread about members not reading **** has valid reason for existing...

Really think a SA-8 will take 1300rms? I just don't see them doing that daily at all >.

Well go based off of what my first post says about me running it in my TRUCK. regardless if you know what I'm running for electrical in my truck or not you shouldn't jump to conclusions... and it's funny how you say my threads are dumb when your responses are epic retardation lol.
