You'd need a DMM and 2 people to really know. That's what I did with my Pioneer HU because my car does not display voltage. MY HU does and it is pretty spot on with the DMM.

On an 03 Gmc Sierra. Also I have the batteries connected straight to the alternator and not the front battery if that matters.
