Im building a box for 2 12' bm's and have a couple questions:

1. is a 4 inch opening good enough for 2 12's

2. Re enclosure calculator is :

width 31

height: 14

depth: 25

port 4 inch opening.

The box volume came out to be 4.225 tuned to 31.15 Hz

But when I do a similar box to these specs in WINISD and BassBox Pro is telling me that the port is to small or too short. So the question is how accurate is the free re enclosure calculator compare to these programs.

Comparatively, no two enclosure design programs are going to provide the same exact spec's for an enclosure.

Why, because no two programs are created/written in the same manner to arrive at the final calculations for the enclosure design and this is why you or anyone for that matter will always get conflicting info as to which program is right or wrong when in fact, there is no right or wrong.

It's more matter of faith in that you trust which ever program you want to use and building the enclosure to the spec's it provides.
