how about bigger rca cables

yea, and since they use low voltage i figured i could just buy RCA connectors at radio shack and solder them onto 18-22 gauge wiring. i use them to feed sound from my computer to my DJ mixer. you guys think im losing any quality at all? it sounds fine to me, then again, im using book shelf speakers that arent very detailed but get the job done for when im on my turntables

for the automotive environment using large wire for interconnects is a waste of money. if your headunit has 2 volt preouts and your amp has an input impedance of say 10 kohms how much current will the interconnect see? not much! personally i wouldn't use larger than 26 gauge if i were to make my own, and i would twist them together for noise cancellation.
