I have a kenwood KDC-MP532U HU and a 5 band Kenwood. 1200 watts Power Acustic amp with 2 12" JBL's. I recently changed my power wire from 8 gauge to 4 gauge and installed my new HU and Eq. Every since then amp in the rear of the HU is getting extremely HOT. Can any one please help.

Internal amps tend to get hot, not a lot of heatsink there.

If you're worried about it, get an external amp...you'd get so many more benefits than just keeping the head unit cool.
