Im interested in buying some horns for my car. I dont know jack about horns but I need something to match up to my pro audio mids and scream clearly and was told from a reputable guy that I should buy these cut down big/mini bodies.
This is the set that he told me to buy that is for sale semi local.
I guess they are big horns modified to be smaller??
The only info the guy posted was this sentence, which doesnt mention much, other than the driver has to be mounted directly onto the plastic, is that bad?? Im assuming the motors have to be ONTOP of the housing when mounted??
"Cut bodies: must be mounted on actual bodies no flanges attached
same height
7 7/8" depth
11 1/4" length"
Since they are local and cheap I want to jump on them if I can make them work Can anyone give me a little advice on how to be sure they will work in my car, what motor compression driver will fit?? Would it only be image dynamic drivers that work?
Ive never even seen a set of horns in real life, but it seems like a fun road to explore, and Im after stupid loud and clear. I just want them to sound good assuming I install them right.
Appreciate the help!
