Area 41 is currently upgrading Hooters BIG RIG. There is allot of really cool custom work done to this truck already. The only thing that it is lacking is a cool system. It has an AVIC-D3 installed and some MTX co-ax speakers. For Video it had a 15" monitor and a DVD system from the coach build.

2008 GMC Topkick 4500 - Hooters - Custom GMC Trucks - 8-Lug Magazine

We are currently half way done with the build and I thought it would be cool to post some pics and info on the build.

With the Help of Eric J. a rep from Sony we got a cool set up to install in the Rig.

*6 Sony headrest monitors,

*Two of Sony's new Digital amps,

*2 10" woofers,

*Front and rear components with a pair of co-ax in the ceiling for good measure,

*Sony’s new Flagship Nav with removable TOMTOM brain.

We are building the bottom of each door panel to house the component speakers and 6" screen. The bridge is going to hold the crossover networks and the LED strips.

The center consul will hold the 15" monitor, 10" Sony woofers and the removable TOMTOM Nav brain.

And of course we couldn't forget some cup holders. LED's will light up the old school mirrored plexi box.

The amps are going in an enclosure on top of the Dog house that will be quick disconnect for serviceability. The other two 6" screens are going in a custom pod in the ceiling where the old 15" was. I'll post more pics when the progress continues.

It wont be so lame when it's done. Sony car audio has helped us on this project when other venders would not. Eric is an awsome rep. and is always very knowledgeable about his product. At the end of the day it's a show stopper with or without the hooter girls.

i dont doubt that your sony rep is a great guy but it wouldnt get to many looks for the audio systems around here. with out the girls there its just a big orange truck. which down here there are alot of. if i were to look at the install id say it looks great but it would be disappointing the hear it. starter system in a really expensive truck what a waste
