hookup question

from 4 gauge wire at the distroblock. would it be bad to hook up my amps from the block with 14 gauge power wire for testing purposes only?

Dont do it, Even to test, I would just do it the right way the first time, and get it done.

14 gauge is fine. if all you're testing is to see if the amps turn on.
