Hooking Up Secondary Amp

This has been irritating me for weeks now. I have a Pioneer FH-X700BT and it only comes with 2 RCA outputs, one for the L/R Front and one that is R/SW. I have 2 Y splitters, both are male to 2 female. I am trying to hook up a Class A/B 4 channel amp (Kicker CX300.4). I have tried everything that I can think of and can only get bass to come out of the speaker. The amp has built in crossovers and even when I switch it from hi/lo/off it still doesn't do anything but change the bass frequencies. Every time I look up a how to it never goes into enough detail for me. Might I add that I am already running 2 Sundown SA-12s. Anyone with information, PLEASE help. Buying another headunit is not an option at this point.

you have the wrong RCAs split. the one you have split is the rear/sub, you need to turn the sub off in the setting. also why do you need spitters as that amp has 2 channel input ability.

How many speakers are running off that 4 channel? That rear out has to run the subs, so the front channel with the Y connector can run the 4 channel. You won't have front/rear fader though.

I'm running 4 speakers. I don't mind the fader loss but I split the fronts and I still had no sound coming from the speaker. I only hooked it up to one speaker just to see how it would sound. So am I missing something here? Does my RCA cable have to be a 4 channel or could I just use 2 2 channel RCA cables?

Try plugging an iPod directly into your 4 channel and see if you get full range. Really sounds like you have the sw/r going into that kicker. You should be running 1 rca set from the front out to a Y that splits the signal into 2 left and 2 right.

Isnt that the same as doing a split from the L/R output and then running 2 sets or RCAs to the amp? I'm still pretty new to this kinda stuff so sorry for my lack of knowledge.

Yes, but it's easier and cheaper to just run the one set and split off at the amp.

Odd because thats how I had it hooked up at first. Could it be that my remote wire is using the same terminal as my other remote wire? That is the only wire that my 2 amps are sharing. I don't use distribution blocks.

turn the signal sense on and remove the remote wire on the Kicker.
