Hooking up CDT components with a crappy pep boys amp?

I sold my car today, but don't want to give the guy my nine.2 amp and then have to buy a new one for my new car. If i just go to pep boys and get a cheapo 2 channel amp, would that suffice for the components? Cheapo as in like 75 bucks or less

how could you... that is a discrace... your cdt's must hate you.

i don't really care, there are not my CDT's anymore. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif My only concern is that they just work and sound at least like stock. I am running them off of 100 watts rms right now, if i bought a crappy 40 watt x 2 jensen amp or anything, would that ruin them or would it sound alright?

guy the cheapo for the old car and keep the ed amp.
yea that was the plan, i was just making sure that running the speakers on like 40 watts instead of 100 would't ruin them or sound like total garbage. I just need it to sound like stock basically, or better, but if it sounds like trash and its not listenable, thats not good either.

run them off the HU...........
or put the stockers back in...........
don't have the stockers anymore, and it seems like too much trouble to re-wire the speakers into the head unit. Plus im not sure if my head unit even has a pre-amp in it (Eclipse 5444)

Yeah they will probably sound alright. Won't sound anything like your eD amp.

Friend did the same thing with a Virtual reality amp. $20 from Fry's with his friends discount. Didn't sound too bad for the money TBH.

But he ran it on fairly cheap speakers. Type-S and Infinity Ref line.

i just got back from selling the car, and the guy's friends took it upon themselves to just start unhooking the amps (both of them) without me saying anything, so i just said thanks and took them. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif So now i have the Nine 2 and the nine.1 to stick right in my new car. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif If the guy calls me and asks why the speakers don't work (he is making it into a racecar so he might not even care) ill just buy a cheap pep boys amp and drop it off. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

This is why I always keep a set of cheap stockers on hand. My current car for sale system includes a jensen deck, and circa 1993 ford premium speakers and amp.
