how would i go about taking my 800 watt speakers... hooking them through a amp then to the radio...would i hook the positve of the speaker to the amp then run a wire from there to the stereo?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/nono.gif.eca61d170185779e0921b0faa9704973.gif

the correct order is:

radio(head unit) to amp to speaker

are you talking about subs? (800w speakers)

if so tell me what you have (subs-amps-head unit) and i will tell you how to hook it up.

give me as much info as possible, i.e., brand, model, specs.

Ok basically most head units have pre-outs little rca plug ins that go to your amp for radio signals. Then you send you amp wires to you battery, gorund, remote ect.. Then just wire up your subs and you ready will go into more deatil if needed.

Ok see you just replyed ok need to know what your subs are single voice coil or dual and is your amp 2 ohm stable and are your subs 2 or 4 or 8 ohm?

when u say coil i think i know what you are talking about.. each sub has 2 negatives and 2 positves... 1 on each side...
