Hooked up sub and amp for first time..wired wrong? VIDEO

You sound like a faggot when you say ohm. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Just unwire everything, and then go back and wire from the amp + to the coil +, then connect both +s. Then do the same with the -. Just from the amp - to the coil -, then connect both -s.

You wont be hearing any bass unless the sub is in a box.

getting built by vitveet at the moment lol. I do have a small crappy sealed pre fab box that I have laying around that I may use for the time being //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
its D2

Most of the bass is coming from my door speakers
Yep, should have it Tues!! Like others have mentioned, make sure you don't have any wiring backwards or the sub will move a lot but you won't hear much bass at all. Also, you aren't going to hear much bass with the sub free air whether it's wired right or wrong!!! Throw it in that sealed enclosure, wired right, this weekend and see how she sounds! Once Tues comes around, throw it in this ported enclosure and be amazed:eek:!

Here's the said ported enclosure:

the sub actually has to be in a box bro... if your just playing it in your car with no box then thats why you dont hear and good bass. the sub looks like its moving pretty good just put the two wires that you had in your hand in the negative hole and put the ***** in a box and you should be fine

That would be a function of the harness, not the HU, I think. Have you looked into a Maestro or iData interface? i would check with crutchfield...

thanks DB, that definitely helps swallowing a $300 price tag 😂 these would essentially be running midbass for me too

What is your budget? With being exposed to Rain.. I would recommend looking at a marine grade SAS Bazooka for the sub stage

Don't forget Hoffman's Iron Law. You can have 2 of the 3: low end, efficiency/sensitivity or small enclosure size...
