Well, Hookahs personally Id go buy from a store. here in NY there is a place where that can be done. I think they are very overpriced online and you can get something much cheaper around here atleast. Single hose and double/triple hose work this way, the more u pull on the hose. the faster the coal dies. its pretty much like a ciggerette. If you leave it lit it doesnt burn as fast. when you pull on it it burns faster. You can get one hose and pass it around or three and not have to pass it around. just dont cheap out on the flavors and coal. trust me they really matter.
hookah is the most worthless shit ever.. you don't even get anything from it.. you get more of a buzz off a cigarette

Go to an Armenian grocery store and you'll find some for $25, no joke. They don't mark up the prices like tobacco stores, online stores, ebay etc. They are that size and I swear I have seen them on average for $25 and as low as $20 each.
As for the flavor, "Starbuzz" is supposed to be a good brand, but it's expensive. The charcoal is where you want to invest your money. I'm still trying to find some good ones myself, but basically the ones they use in churches are the best. Or you can go to a hooka place and see what kind they recommend.
Also, try adding apple juice or some other type of liquid other than water, gives it a bit better of a taste. I'd recommend doing one the same as the flavor your are smoking.

From my experience, I haven't noticed that one or two hose hookahs burn faster than the other. I mean, the hose has no real bearing on it, I don't think. But, I'm not too sure. My brother (who lives with me) has a, I'd say 3-1/2' foot one.
I've used a few hookahs, but none of them necessarily burn faster than the other. But, if you smoke by yourself more than with others, I'd get the single. But the more the hose, the better in groups. Saves you from having to pass the hose all the time. Most important, just make sure you have good hoses.
And, if you do get two hoses (or more) and you smoke alone, you just need to get like a napkin or something and plug up the hole.
Not at all. I smoke hookah all the time and I've never smoked pot.

It's something to do when you're kicking it with some friends and it's easy to get a buzz if you really wanted..just gotta play some games. One that i know of is that one person inhales and holds the smoke in until the next person is done inhaling, and then you release. Keep doing that with just 2 people and it will take affect. Or, you can have some alcohol with hooka, but I wouldn't recommend it...it's made me sick to my stomach a couple times.
