I can't just 1 wire it with the stock P2P ECU, hence the CEL. That ELD really wants to sense what is going on at the alternator
I would say you are are just one ECU away from removing the ELD BUT that is only if you have a standard transmission. I don't know of any tuners who will reprogram an ECU for an automaticThis is from my 1997 honda accord full service manualELD FTMFL!
I'm using a kinetik 1400+2400 with big 3 done and this shit makes everything electrical worthless

don't know of it's a nippo or not but iirc my stocky was a mitsubishi alt.doesnt honda use a small case nippo alt? With the bolt holes across from each other? Can you fit a GM large case one wire alt?
Well it seems to me that idle isn't a problem i charge at 14.4 at idle but when you drive with no load it brings it down to 12.5 so I just keep my headlights or something on to detect a load. I still think the thing is gay tho //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifThey are usually Nippondenso or Mitsubishi. The stock alty in my 97 Civic was a Mitsubishi and its replacement was a rewound Nippondenso.
Regardless, I am pleased with the ECU swap that bypassed the ELD. I now idle @ 14.3 volts and my battery rests @ 13.6. Prior to this, I could drop to the low 12s @ idle and my battery rested @ 12.9 volts. My Kinetik is much happier with the new charging system.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
