Closed cell faom works wonders, to the OP don't even THINK about putting tar in your car.

Cheap ***** miracle materials for sound deadoning: Expanding foam between plastics and uncorrosive surfaces, closed cell foam spray or sheets for everything else, and peel and stick to add mass to panels that foam don't do sh!t on.

the people who said don't be cheap are right. although i was the one who told you about the peal n seal, i wouldn't reccommend it. i bought some raammat, and i don't regret the $$ i spent one bit. my truck didn't stink of tar all summer, and the guy that sells it is a great guy. he told me exactly how my sq ft i needed to do my doors...he didn't try to cheat me and make me spend more money than needed.

its like everything else you buy...you get what you pay for. if you want to buy cheap things, expect bad quality. sure, some have had success w/ cheap stuff...but i promise they are few and far between.

say ya dynamat/sound deadning the whole trunk.. every inch.... does it reduce the loudness because the stuff is absorbing the sound... or does it reflect the sound and force it to go in to the car, when the backseat hatch down? making it louder in the car?

color of foam doesnt effect the performance moron...jus get any old expanding foam wheather its blue, red, tan, ect. it all works the same

I have seen expanding foam used in sum applications and it worked fine. now i wouldnt cover everyhing with it
