does anyone know any sites with instructions on how to make a homemade crossover from like radio shack parts?

ive looked but no sites really gave me instructions.

Designing your own is a *****.

Making them just requires knowing how to read a schematic diagram and how to solder...I'd get a bunch of pre-built plans under your belt before you attempt to design your own from scratch.

yea that is what i meant. some plans/designs/ parts list.

and i know how to solder so that is one less thing i have to do/learn.

and i think i have a decent general knowledge of electronics.

i looked at the partsexpress one but wasnt too atractted to it.

Designing them is fairly complicated. As far as the parts go, I'd stick with partsexpress, digikey, mouser, etc. Radioshack does not have many of the elements you'll need, and the ones they have aren't of very good quality.

like i have some pg x-overs.

if i just bought the same parts and used the same traces on the board wouldnt it be the same thing.

if i got all the same parts from a prebuilt x-over, and replicated the way they were connected and set. wouldnt it have the same out put and filters?

so i dont have to spend more money on another set of x-overs for a couple of speaker boxes im building out of some speakers i have lying around.

i didnt say design

i said build one from a diagram.

no way am i smart enough to design anything like that.

but given a diagram i have enough knowledge to get it built.
