:crap:
I'm in an Instructor Training course and we have to put together a lesson plan to teach. There were specifc choices to select from. I chose home stereo system.

Maybe I could get a little help in writing this. Now it doesn't have to be totaly factual, it's the presentation we are graded on.

Here is the layout.

Name and explain these seven parts of a home stereo system

Major Components to include

a. receiver

b. power amplifier

c. equalizer

d. compact disc player

e. Cassette deck

f. Speakers

g. remote control

1) physical appearance

2) construction features

3) function

Receiver= receives stuff

power amp= powers stuff or amplifies stuff

equalizer= equalizes stuff

compact disc player= compacts stuff

cassette deck= decks stuff

speakers= speak stuff

remote control= controls stuff

say all that, then turn around, drop your pants and give em the goat!

then ask them about your goats:

physical appearance

construction

function

Easy A++++++

The ones in white are not even worth talking about.

Try to explain it like this:

Start with the speaker, because it is what makes the sound. Give them basic ideas about how the drivers move air which causes ear drums to move etc etc.

Then explain what drives the loudspeakers. IE amplifier or Receiver.

Then explain the pre-amp which drives the amplifier.

Then explain the sources DVD-A/SACD, CD, Vinyl, ETC.

Now if you have more time and they understand the basic pieces that make up a stereo explain more advanced ones. Such as different types of loudspeakers, wattage, power conditioning, quality differences between source units...

I did a speech once on Home Audio Systems and did another one on why people with Hi-Fi systems get more out of their music than everyone else... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Got a B & an A...
