home audio problem

I have a problem with my system. Randomly whenever im watching dvd's my speakers will just start making this popping sound that goes on till I turn the receiver to another source and then back to DVD. It isn't singled to a specific speaker, it happens to random speakers, sometimes the front right, sometimes the rear left.....etc. I thought it might be a power handling problem, but all my speakers are fit to handle 100w which is what my receiver puts out.

any thoughts?

Maybe you need to clean the unit...take some contact cleaner and clean everything out.

If it gets worse on its own, it's most likely an internal problem with the amp, or the processor...

hmm, check all connections. are u using anything that would make the wiring more extensive (speaker selectors)?
