I'm telling you...they'll be out as soon as this steel shortage in China is over. Right now, there is no foreseeable end.

That's pretty schweet.....but who wants to spend that much..might as well get Brax if you are spending above 1K.
Just noticed $50 shipping. I bet that weighs like 5lbs total...rip off on since insurance is extra. Nice otherwise.
You can't really say Brax is just better than Genesis, at that level it's just different. The shipping is probably overpriced (he's probably just trying to recoup some of the mauling he'll take from paypal on that amount), but it definitely weighs more than 5 lbs in the big wooden crate which he clearly has a picture of...

yummy!

the one in my sig will remain with the exception of the HU going to a Nak CD700II and the mids going to Reference 4s. Wifey is gonna have my head.

*LOL* those are scanspeak revalator woofers with scanspeak tweets
Woofs are here... $190 each

http://www.madisound.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi?cart_id=4402008.1269&pid=1160

Tweets are here "they use a oval face plate...."..... $405 each

http://www.madisound.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi?cart_id=3429668.19641&pid=1151

$1190.00 out the door for the drivers at retail!!... Man those are some expensive crossovers and a wood box @ $1600 buy it now!
Not really. Have to remember....these aren't the DIY Scanspeak drivers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif They have been gently massaged by Genesis, and I'm sure he did not purchase them from Genesis for the DIY Scanspeak prices. And I've never seen the guts...but I'm sure those passives are nothing short of extrordinary and high end, using expensive and quality components.

Alpine F#1 Status retails for $3,500, likewise uses a slightly modified version of the Scanspeak Rev's.

Just pointing out that it's a little unfair to compare the OEM versions to the retail, rebranded, and slightly worked versions that come with predesigned, high quality passives.

He really isn't priced extremely unreasonably for those speakers in the auction.

There's two things you're good for.....that's one, and I won't publicly admit to the other //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

I agree to a point. I would bet a good lunch that the mids are almost if not 100% identical to the scanspeak driver I listed and has not been massaged at all other than scanspeak logo's removed. Also the tweet just has a different mount which was engineered very nicley but overall I also bet the tweet would be identicle t/s wise to the original. I def do agree that those passives must be amazing inside and also that they probably have hundreds of hours of testing and matching behind them to make them sound simply awsome which could take months to years or even never for a diy installer to acheive. Just pointing it out, that it was funny that's all //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
