it may say REGAL grand national, but no one with half a braincell even refers to them as that. i will give you some benefit of the doubt in saying that back in 86-87, you could option out a regal limited to have the turbo motor, but it still wasnt a grand national, but you already knew that, right?

motor means different car

so a cts and a ctsv are different cars....I will inform Cadillac

the regal came in a t-type which had exactly the same motor as the gn....

and yes the mav is faster than a gn because the fastest factory gn was 235hp
