Okay then, let's assume that this is true. A simple "Due to overflooding of my email inbox, I have chosen not to post my email address. All designs are as stated, and any additions or changes you may want to make are yours to decide." would have been sufficient, not being a dick to everyone who might have a question.

I prefer the blunt John. I just could not respect the candy @ss version of John. And he is not a dick to everyone, he points out the obvious and if you're in that spectrum of stupidity then you will get the "obvious answer"

I have never emailed John, nor do I need to. All of the details are in his descriptions. If you are not educated enough to simply read his work and duplicate it exactly, then you need not bother him. Go out in the world, read some books, learn about electronics and your set.

If you think you are smart enough to change one of his designs, then you should be smart enough to do it on your own without his help. After all, he chose the best possible combination of whatever he felt at the time, if he thinks a change is needed, then he will change it. He does not need a person that does not know an inductor from a capacitor asking him for help changing things he designed.

John has given is all the ability to build speakers designs that rival or outperform designs costing more than I would ever pay for a set of speakers, and I have heard enough high end so called audiophile garbage to know Johns designs are top notch. Give the man some respect!

And just so you know, the ZD5 build he has posted is the SHIT OMG WOW INSANE GOD OF SMALL 2 WAYS. And to think I was saving my funds for a pair of Sonus Faber Auditor M's. After hearing a well built set of ZD5's, my god did they sound similar, equal in many ways if not better.

I couldn't care less what he does with his website. It's his to run and do whatever with, so no, I really don't care. The reason I'm bringing this up in the first place is because his site is one of the best resources to beginner speaker builders (I have made his designs myself) because he goes into detail and breaks everything down well. If you're on there and have a question about something only to get a ****-off, is that really necessary? I mean it's a ****in DIY audio site, nothing even important. So why have the you're-on-your-own attitude when the site is for the exact opposite purpose?

He is a bit of a jerk.

Most people are stupid.

You can see how these things don't mix well. He is very smart and aways thinks his designs out very well, but I think he might go a bit over board once in while on people and things.

Anyway, he isn't a bad guy, and I don't think he is going to be doing many loudspeaker projects for a while.
