No, I think Lemans is right. Although the guy is very smart and knows his stuff he still comes off as a conceited prick and a half. But these guys do ask some silly questions. Maybe he's been doing this a long time and some of the silly qustions are starting to get to him. But if that is the case he should find a new line of work. Some day one of the question askers might find out where he lives and beg him to answer them in person the way he answered them over the safety of the internet.

No, but what he's doing instead is potentially steering away people from the hobby that are genuinely fascinated. A noob and an idiot are different, as one is just starting and wants to learn, and the other is just starting, but thinks they have already learned. Therefore, if you turn away everyone, you come off as an ******* who turned down someone who genuinely admired your work.
