Holy shii, opossums.

I just found an opossum in my yard. I sic'd my dog after it, and he crushed it's ribs with his jaw (crunch, lol), and bit it's neck a bunch of times. I kicked the thing in the head full force 9 or ten times, then shot it five times with my 850fps .177 cal air rifle in the head, 3 bb's each time.... It's stumbling around in circles in the driveway right now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

ROFL that reminds me of my old neighbor who used to kill the nutrias that would come in his yard with a pitchfork...the funny thing is he was the pastor for one of the larger churches in my town...

pitchfork pastor Larry ftw????

not really...it takes alot to kill them sumb!tches:crap:
ive heard of ppl beatin the piss out of some with aluminum bats and them just coming back for more but only pissed off more than the previous hit:eek: //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif
You are right... It is now gone and the dog was put inside. It walked away from all this...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

Once I rammed a pitchfork through one (put all 5 tines through it) and stuck it at least 6 inches into the ground and beat it's head with a log. Came back in the morning it was GONE just like now.

they arent that tough... u are all doing something wrong.

my wiener dog (named jack) killed one. hmmmm....

i could easily kill an opossum with a baseball bat. i run into them frequently out here. quit playing with them and just kill the bastards.

Why? Did the thing do something to you? Or are you just scared of them? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

Opossums are pretty cool pets when raised from babies, my mom (a veterinarion) has raised a grip of babies and they are cool as hell.

We currently have one living with us, her name is Grace, and she is retarded because something bit her and leaked her brain matter all over. Hah.

She enjoys longs walks around my moms bedroom at night, which are just continous circles, like an animal with it's whiskers cut off, it's quite entertaining. When she gets scared, she falls over and plays dead.

1. They eat all of the barn cat's catfood

2. Some of them carry fatal diseases to horses

3. They eat all of the chicken's eggs and when the chickens don't lay eggs they eat the chickens.

Mmmkay?

I agree they would make cool pets if hand raised and disease free... But right now these things are a nuisance.

Either it walked away last night or something bigger than it picked it up and carried it away for dinner, which is quite possible.

The house that my wife lived in when I met her had possums in the walls. You could hear them running around at night.
Kinda eerie to hear what sounds like a squirrel or something only much bigger in the walls.

no shit.. my friend rented a giant (but rundown) 12 bedroom 3 story house.. An old victorian mansion really..the place had sat empty for a long time and still had the original gas lighting fixtures and shit..servents stair ways..handpainted canvas walls...big exposed beams...GIANT fireplaces...was a great house for parties..anyways that place had possums in the walls up on the third floor. The place was errie and sort of creepy without the sound of big *** animals crawling around in the walls....and really creepy when you were loaded and they started crawling around...

It's either opossums or raccoons, raccoons much prefer houses over natural habitat. I've never really heard of opossums moving into houses while we have problems with raccoons all the time getting into attics, chimenys, under porches...

Def is creepy as hell to hear them in the walls though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

They're generally dead long before they stop moving lol, its called muscle spasms. All animals will do it, its like when a lizard loses its tail, they're still dead, but they keep moving, it is pretty creepy until you get used to it though lol.
