Fi Q; DC Level 4; Fi BL; Anything else comparable.

Not really looking for a simple "this or that" but reviews and reasoning and what not.

I've owned a BL and heard a Q.

I personally preferred the BL as I thought it got noticeably louder.

As for SQ, the Q has the definite edge.

DC I've been seeing alot of negative things recently about their products failing off only moderate power but can't say anything first hand.

is the Q's difference in SQ as noticable as the BL's difference in output?

Does the BL still have decent SQL?

I would go for the FI, just because hey have a good rep for SQL subs(not saying the other companies have bad rep for SQL, jus. not as good) and it would fit in with what your looking for...

but if you want to go with a great custom sub, I would hit up Dave at Fixmyspeaker.com and he can work with what you want and your budget

i have a friend and he has a 15" BL and we put it in my box with his hifonics 1208 and their was no difference from my sx off that amp and box so i would go bigger.

I've never had a problem with the BL's SQ but then again I am not a SQ subwoofer enthusiast. I tolerated an older IA DP as a daily driver sub.

I'd say the SQ was in between the DP and my old Treo SSX.

The SSX was much better, the DP was definetly worse.

I also went with a large box and higher than normal tuning.
