Hole in rear deck?

it would only benifit - as long as its still structurally sound. ive heard cutting huge holes in some rear decks could cause the car structure to be compromised, but again - ive herd people with pairs of 10's back there.

instead of cutting an extra hole an PERHAPS running into more problems just take out the rear deck speakers...IF THATS AN OPTION
Try this first and then you could look into cutting a hole, you can alway put metal supports making an X accross the hole to help with the structural integrity issues. Either way it will make a huge difference in the sound...it should double at least.

cut a hole, unless you got some cardboard deck youll be fine, but make sure you ALSO cut a hole in the cover that covers the rear deck other wise a ton of air is going to shoot into the cover and move it like crazy, go get a small grill 4-6 inch , and a router and screw it on too the deck and have it go through the deck cover.
