Say you have a 15 that needs 4cubes.

2 10's in that same line of woofers from X brand need only 2cubes together, that's half of one 15, to get the same response shape.

Since we have the same low end extension, and the 2 10's have a smaller box, doesn't that mean the 2 10's would not be as efficient as 1 15? Wouldn't they need more power even though the sensitivity of the 2 10's are the same as the 1 15?

I would figure there's a catch to having 2 10's need a smaller box than 1 15.

They would need more power to output better results in a controlled environment like metering for spl.

But what changes all the perspectives is whether the 2 10's have stronger motor force or weaker then a standard 10.

The cone area which helps relate the motor force would be greater allowing for more efficiency and higher output then a single 15.

Its hard to say yes or no, but it all depends on the subs.

let's say they have the same motor as the 15.
