HO alt

I will be runing around 2500-2750 watts RMS off an Orion 2500D, runing all 1/0Gauge, the big3 in 1/0 Gauge. The only thing that will be 4 Gauge is the two power wires to the amp and the two grounds off the amp. My Qustion is do I really NEED a HO alt. My stock alt puts out 100 amps (maybe 125 I have to check my vin) and the HO alot puts out 160 Amps, so is it worth the $300 for an alternator that only puts out 60% more then my stock alt?

Remember your vehicle is also drawing power.
Yes I know, but when I put my motor in I used a motor from a truck with the snow plow prep package, and I do not run a plow. But that still dosent answer my question. Is it worth it, or should I look for a 300 amp alt?
