HO alt HELP

ok i tried searching but couldnt find an exact answer. im getting a 150A alt (stock is 80A), do i need anything else to install it? i read something aboutf a new rectifier or voltage regulator?

i found it on ebay from ace_alternators, heres a link to a similar one, i have an altima and he will put it up when i decide, $185 + 20s/h. similar alt on ebay link

if you guys have a better place, price, or unit please let me know im open for suggestions.

My 160 amp just came in today from motorcityreman on eBay.

I paid $110 including shipping.

I've not installed it yet. I've heard good and bad about them but they offer a 2 year warranty so I figured I'd give it a shot.

It says you have to put a bigger + wire from the alternator to the battery plus a fuse.

I'll post back when I get it installed later tonight or tomorrow.

i was looking to stay around $200 but thats quite a jump 70 to 200, do you notice signifcant difference in driving as far as power? Has idling got rough?

motorcityreman, idk i've read too much negative to feel comfortable with them but i'll give them a look.

im doing the Big 3 when i install it but just to confirm, i shouldnt need any additional electrical components like a new rectifier or voltage reg?

Excessive amperage. Same place as Netherland. Price will depend on car and amout of amerage you require.

With a direct bolt on you shouldnt need anything other then the alt and the wire upgrade.
