In the past when crutchfield sells kicker subs buy one get one free there is usually a change in the near future for that sub (or at least it seems a lot like this to me)

could be a seasonal price drop.....

i'll bet they don't sell too many subs between november and january, and you have to pay taxes on your inventory come january.

plus, 06 subs may be considered new old stock come january, as well.

it means crutchfield needs to get rid of their excess stock of older models. Kicker already has new models of the compvr, l7, etc.

and so does infinity... probably the 1260! lol

Well, like 2-3 months ago the Kappa Perfects were on sale buy one get one free just like they are now, and I thought it was because of a new model or something coming out, but now they've got the same deal up again (they didn't even sell them at all for like a month, they were unlisted on the site). I think Crutchfield is just running some specials to boost overall sales.

but kicker doesnt have new cvr models... they have new l5, cvx, l7, but comp and cvr stayed the same.

thats why i said kicker.. cause ive seen crutchfield do this several times with infinity products. ive only seen kicker products buy one get one a few times

They did it last year. They had the same deals on the L5's buy one get one free. They are just trying to get rid of their excess stock.

Yea it was the chrome ones they did it with but it was still prolly just gettin the old out to make room for the new.

I remember a post with polecat and someone on team kicker kinda poking at the subject a little, nothing but speculation ofcourse...
