Hmm, two 8"s?

How would two 8"s compare to one shallow mount 10"? I'm assuming they'd be better? More surface area and all. But I also have another question, what 8"s are reccomended for less than $180 a pair?

Oh man, those are only $50? I've heard good things about Assassins in the past. Anyone have any hands-on experience with those? Sound good? Get loud?

EDIT:

I do have a question about those though. It says that the "Rec Power" is 150w, but the RMS is 350w. If I can push 350w through the sub, why would I do 150w?

Hmm, are they worth the $50 extra price over the Assassins though? I mean, I could get 4 8" Assassins for the price of two of those. Just curious about my options, because I know little about subs, and even less about small 8" ones //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

Upon further analysis, those CMP 8"s sound best in at least .9 cu ft of air. I'm trying to do something small for behind the seats of my Ranger, but those things sound like they'd be beasts

The crystal is an awesome woofer no doubt, BUT, I would say the assassins would >* for the dollar.

I personally have 7 of these assassins and have put 550 rms to each 1, yeah......... they just hang and wang.

I also have mucho practice with re's 8. For sq I would say the re owns, but for shear output, the assassin is close to twice as loud.

Just to put this out there, I'm trying to keep total airspace under 1 cu ft. Do you have a link to the DD 8"? I don't really know what brand DD stands for

Alright, I think I'm going with the Assassin 8"s. About the box size, it says .4cu ft, is that including the space the sub takes up or not? Should I just make it two .5cu ft sections to be sure?
