hmm, two 18's vs, eight 10's

Long story short, i have to buy three different round trip plane tickets and pay $2000 in taxes due to scholarships and untaxed commercial fishing money from last summer. I dont NEED to sell my gear, but i may want a bit of extra spending $$$ this summer until i get through commercial fishing again. Either way, the systems getting an overhaul in august.

so i need opinions here. I have a BNIB kicker kx2500.1 with a birthsheet reading 3000 watts. I was thinking either

a) two 18's!, or

b) eight 10's (most likely kicker CVR's or similar, anything with 300-ish RMS rating)

opinions please!

lol i have two 18's right now, i know what they can do. eight tens would mean another 120sq in of cone area though, thats whats got me in a stump.
