Hmm Let's figure this one out

Went to install the grounds in the back of the car today. Pulled it up tested to make sure it worked, got nothing (ground is on frame of the car, used + of kinetik to test). Tested a few diff things and got to the conclusion that the Kinetik doesn't read right when hooked to the frame, but reads 12.8 if i put the dmm on the + and - of the Kinetik. I can put the + to the starting battery and ground to the frame and read 12.4, so I know it is the Kinetik, but like I said it reads 12.8 if you just put the DMM on the Kinetik. I am lil confused here.

Yea I don't get a solid voltage with the Kinetik. If it was 10-13 volts yea cool, but the DMM just jumps between 1-5volts. But then when I put DMM on JUST the Kinetik it reads 12.8. And when I put the ground on something else it jumps around but not up to a 10+ voltage.

sounds like the ground isn't as solid as it may seem.

Loose ground.

How tight is the ground to the frame, and to the ground terminal on the battery itself.
