i sold my BL18's due to needing to size down. i am looking for 2 15" subs now and have 3k on tap @ 2 ohms.
heres my thought process
FI BL: chevyaudio did some good things (149.1 with 1 20.1 in a truck) with 2 10's off less power than i have...which gives me hope for a ton of spl. when i had them i liked them. sounded pretty good, got pretty loud (considering my install was complete shit), and they are cheap.
FI Q: these sound awesome too. here is a quote from Shawn Flemming
and finally
SS RL-P: the cheapest of the 3, are TC9 based (which is nice since i loved my old claw mag), and supposedly are more SQ orientated drivers. however this quote from oxsign shows otherwise
my goals: mainly i just want the loudest possible system. i have thought about going with just 1 18" BTL, but the possibility of the SQ not being that great and having a peaky response...just doesnt sit with me. but like i said i dont just want loud i want a decent sound. if i had to split it i would say 70/30 spl/sq.
main concerns: im afraid i have too much power for the RL-P's, the BL's might not sound the greatest once i get them really pumping (compared to my last install), and the Q's just might not give me enough output. now i see all the reviews, and they seem to trample my concerns...but i am very skeptical usually, and get as many opinions as possible before i made a purchase.

which makes me think. hes got roughly 1500 to each one (which is what i would have), has experience with the xxx's (which i love btw), and the install is in an explorer. and they are suppose to be louder than the xxx's and sound better. IDK about that, but the xxx my friend had was loud as heck so thats a good sign. not to mention this link (http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=7404) with a review of a 12" Q against the owners 05 XXX's. owner sold the XXX's the next day....We pulled the XXX 15's out of my dad's explorer, swapped to Q15's with BP Power, and I first he didnt like the Q's, but then once they broke in(took a few weeks), he loved the Q's, louder and had better overall sq to him than the XXX's. Each one has a modded MTX 1501d.

i pm'd him about it and he said that it was on the new TL in a 4 door blazer (like a 98 or so). thats pretty **** loud too and to be able to turn the bass down and have great SQ from those subs would be nice as well.2 15" rl-p's, 2 redtops, 200amp alt, 4runs of 1/0 (2+/2-), PA 3000D, 153.9 on the dash, legal, sealed, 8.5cubes, 34hz, 47hz tone.
