Hk4000d

So my electrical is going to consist of the big 3, a 250A alternator 120 idle, a Group 31 Deka Intimidator 9A31 and two runs of 1/0 from batt to batt. Would this be enough to at least power an hk4000d? I'm not to concerned with lights dimming as I will not be playing that loud all the time just occasionally street beat. Thanks again guys

i would def say that would be a enough to run it, at least keeping it from low current, because im sure your aware that these are current hogs.

How long would my stock alt function, if i did big 3 in 1/0, left the 4 ga wire that comes stock, and hook it up to the 9A31? The stock altnator is a 105 I believe. Would it be enough to still play the hk4000d? The reason I ask is because I want to go ahead and hook everything up get wires ran and everything to the battery, then buy the 250A alt on down the road

Probably wont have gains set to maybe 1/4th just to get alittle bump in the trunk untill i get upgrade more.

Your amp would likely die before your alt, if you're having huge voltage drops on the stock alt.

ive got a 250 amp alt, 1 deka and 1 diehard(both in the back) big 3 and 1 run to the back. i ran it full tilt and dropped to about 13.9 from 14.8

Well its supposed to cut off before it goes under 12 or something. With that being said It probably wouldnt be a good idea to run it off the stock alt.

yes. the mm does more power, more clean power, more reliable, just an all around better daily beating amp. on that note ive got 2 of them. but im also trying to get 2 hk's to do a comparo so if ur interested in selling it lmk

I want to keep it for right now but if you want to sell one of those g31s to help on the amp buy id be glad to take one haha

just watch the gain with the stock alt. and see how bad your voltage drops..
