Temp hijack: I was driving my sisters new mazda 3 on the interstate up in iowa a few weeks ago. decided to break her in a little and push the 100 mark. I put it in auto (its got one of those weird auto and a manual thing) and hit the accel on a large flat part of the interstate. I got it up to 105 in 3rd gear im not sure if thats normal but ****!

if you think thats scary, Try getting 80 on a 4 cylinder minivan. I thought the car was going to blow apart. I don't dare go more then 70 on this car.

My cuz has a nissian maxima, with a V8 and it hauls pretty good, then my other cuz hase a mustange mach 1 he said he went 150 pretty good compared to my lil truck.

and to think maxima's have v8 in them.

Maxima's have a V6....Im not sure about the new models, but the older ones had N/A 3Z motors.

my mph only goes to 85 but it does well over that im think 110, 115 or so.

i've pushed the van to 85 before...f'ing scary, especially if you get in a crosswind or wake vortex coming off of a semi, and the front wheels start to dance around...also tears through the gas mileage, and with 31 gallons to play with, the damage can be a lot //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

comfortable driving speed in that is 70-75, no more.
