why is it when i listen to music and the volume is down i get a HISS sound, and why can i go so far with my pioneers before they start to crack sound and it isnt loud and i have herd loud? is it cause the SONY head unit isnt good or just pushing to much or should i just go back to the 903U head unit? thanks for the help

Well the hiss comes from the speakers and not subs, and it gets annoying cause i hear HISSSSSSSS then when i turn it up a little it is gone but when it is low it hiss's and this is after i swaped out my OEMs, put in Pioneers 120 watts still did it now with the 220 watts still get the hiss.

Its called DIGITAL NOISE/WHITE NOISE. it happens because of crappy equipment... and bad installations.
what "in your opinion would you do to remove this white noise?" and what equipment is bad? cause there is an INtermal AMp that ford left.

Your gains on your amps are too high. The head unit is sending the noise, and yes.. you have to take that factory amp out of the loop. Keeping it in is pointless and only causes problems... much like the ones that you are experiencing now. Your RCA's could also be bad.
