these subs are apearently not even broken in yet. he said they are about 2 months old. i heard them and they sound great. so i looked at some amps at the pawn shop and i found these. the guys selling me the subs has a hifonics amp hooked up to them right now. so which of these would be better. i couldnt find anything about the memphis audio amp. anyone seen one of these before. the hifonics is 1700 watts. will that go well with the subs.

Looks like a pr1000 amp 100$ is a rock solid price I'd grab that one

The Brz can be bought new for that price lol

It's a Memphis PR50.4... It'll work for your mids & highs at best, although the inputs are beat to hell on that one.

Specs:

Memphis 16-PR4.50 (16pr450) Power Reference PR Series 4-Channel

ppl there is a pic of the memphis showing 4.50 and that price is way high for that hifonics
Assuming from the price of everything else he probably wants way too much for the Type R's too

280. for both subs and the box
Upon further inspection those don't look like 12D4's... more like the older model Type R's which have 600w rms rather than 1000. I may be wrong, but I've seen the new 12D4s in person and the cone looks much darker on them. That shop appears to be a complete rip off and I'd avoid it in the future.

EDIT: After looking more closely at the surround, they are NOT the new 12D4 model Type Rs. They appear to be SWR-1243s

Sneaky sneaky. I noticed the r's were an older version but missed what box they were sitting on top of. Good catch.
