High Roll vs Fat/thick surround

You touched on the one sticking point between the two.

A large surround like Eclipse used on the Ti and what 'Bahn uses on something like the AWT15X will reduce Sd.

Maybe not so much in subwoofers.....but in a mid the material itself will affect midrange/top end response.

Just to clarify, it isn't always irrelevant.

But as Jack said; the main difference between the two is the difference in Sd.

That's my job to point out the one technical scenerio that makes your blanket statement incorrect! I want it back!
