STILL NEW * NEVER USED * NOT A REBUILD!

Hand built by Wrangler Northwest Power Products with new parts. This is not simply a rewound factory alternator like those seen on ebay. Wrangler uses a large Nippon Denso case with many proprietary parts to produce a rugged dependable unit with unmatched performance. Full retail is more than $700!

Originally purchased for 88-91 CRX with a 4-wire round plug and 3-rib pulley. A simple pulley change allows use on 90-02 Accord, 84-02 Civic, 92-01 Prelude.

Wrangler also offers tech support via phone, email or web. Check out wranglernw.com

Data from ID Plate

The vehicles listed in my original post are based on a conversation with Wrangler tech support.

Best advise I can offer on fitting any particluar vehicle is to contact wrangler directly and ask the experts. That way there's no doubt.

I have received several private emails asking why I would offer an alternator for $300 when you can buy one for about half that on ebay. The reason is that you get what you pay for.

Here's what Wrangler has on their web site to describe the difference between their alternators and others.

* Stator Windings that are hand wound, heavy gauge wire, with 200°C slot insulation

* Precision balanced and aligned rotor

* Copper brushes with heavy gauge wire leads

* Over-sized bearings to withstand extreme belt loads

* 50-amp button diodes on aluminum heat sinks to enhance cooling efficiency

* Grade-8 socket head bolts with Nordlock hi-torque lock-washers for mechanical stability

It cost money to put heavy duty quality parts into an alternator and build it by hand. Do you think an alternator that retails for $150 on ebay can compare? Think about it. Would you buy that so-called 1000 watt amp at the tent sale for $100? Didn't think so.

Who ever says they can get an alt like this for half the price on ebay is smoking crack. It's so much more money for an alt for an import vs a domestic. . . plus I can't get over 200 amps for my car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif.

Nice alt though, I'd probably buy it if I needed it.
