High Out Put Alternator?

I would get an alt for sure but i would say you could live with out the second bat. But you can never have enough bats so i would say that would be your call. if u get the alt and you have dimming then get a second bat.

Rule of thumb: 1 amp of battery for every RMS watt.

Get two hc2000's and a HO alternator. I run 4krms @ 2 ohms, using a 250amp alternator, two kinetik hc2400's, and a kinetik 800, and i stick right around 13 volts at full tilt, idling.

might want to modify your rule of thumb. either you are going of cold cranking amps which isn't a good way to measure if a bat can sustain a system or you are talking about Ah which then according to your rule u need 31 hc2400 bats.
