High EBP.... what if you decide to put it in a sealed enclosure

As it says. I know typically the higher the EBP the more it leans towards ported and reversed for lower. What if you take a sub with an EBP of 100ish and put it in a sealed box? what would it hurt? how would it sound? etc. give me detailed descriptions of possible. and same for a sub of maybe 30ebp in a ported box

It depends on the alignment chosen for both situations.

I have heard plenty of subs sealed that had high EBPs and most of them had very little low end and a more dry and aggressive sound to them.

Putting a low EBP sub in a ported enclosure usually ends in a sloppy sounding sub with sub par transient response.

Hmmm now what about putting it in a 4th order ... A high EBP. winisd says 4th orders are meant for low EBP subs. but 4th order does have a ported chamber... thoughts?

Efficiency is frequency related. If you don't understand what that means, oh well.
Ok. Just wasn't sure the point in the EBP scale. honestly this is something I never learned. i mean I always knew high was ported low was sealed and inbetween was either.. But never knew the specifics behind it
